"Help FPS produce their winter short film!"

The SJSU Film Production Society (FPS) is producing a short film titled “What Lurks” January 17th to 21st. FPS is a student-run organization with the goal of creating a platform for students to get first-hand experience as filmmakers by producing independent short films two to three times a year. FPS has around 30 attending members this semester, most of them are Radio-Television-Film majors, but we also have members from many other majors such as Animation, Business, Communication, and Theater.

This winter, FPS is producing “What Lurks”, written and directed by Justin Lee. Justin Lee is an SJSU student studying Radio, TV, & film with strong experience in art direction, giving all the short films he works on a distinct visual tone. Justin’s scripts often allude to greater social issues which he believes need to be talked about.

The production of every short film produced by FPS members is a group effort and crew members have pooled resources over the course of the last semester to create a high production-value short film. We are definitely in a good place to start, but in order for us to reach the level of quality we strive for with our work, we need your help! The money raised by this campaign will be used to cover the various production costs of independent filmmaking including insurance, meals for the crew, props, and more!
