Who are we?
The Interior Design Student Organization “IDSO” is a non-profit student organization run by elected student peers to organize, facilitate, and support the San Jose State Interior Design Department and student body through communication, events, collaboration, and outreach. We are led by Virginia San Fratello, Diana Seah, and Eleanor Pries.
Our goal is to create a strong design community through tutoring, activities, and collaboration with professors, students, and professionals.
Why are we raising this money?
IDSO partners with Academia and Architectural/Design firms creating opportunities for students to enhance their San Jose State University education. We are seeking to raise funds for students to experience broad exposure to inter-disciplines within the interior design field. Funding our program will facilitate field trips, professional speakers, and supplies. In addition, funds will also go to support the Interior Design Program, and the Annual Senior Design Show in May 2023, which we encourage supporters of our efforts to attend.
Though we are seeking funding, we see it as a partnership with design students who need support. Your efforts will assist in transportation, events, programs, and supplies. But more than that, your generosity will build our design community within the program, enrich experiences and add to our academic and professional knowledge.
Because design is woven into the fabric of our environment, our senses continue learning when provided with diverse opportunities. It allows students to participate equally, ensuring resources are available to those who need extra support.
How can you help?
Your generosity and support financially is always appreciated. We understand that our extended friends, family, and professional communities have so much to offer in addition to monetary support.
