SJSU Cares

Who are we? 

SJSU Cares is an assistance program for San Jose State University Spartans who are experiencing a hardship or crisis. We work to support students to meet their basic needs by operating the Spartan Food Pantry, and offering in-house case management, temporary emergency housing, crisis funds, and referrals to both on and off-campus resources. 

Why are we raising money? 

We are raising funds to support the programs that support Spartans most. Our crisis fund is there for students who are experiencing an unanticipated crisis or emergency. Our Spartan Food Pantry provides nutritious food options to students in need. And our temporary emergency housing allows students to find a safe place to stay while dealing with the unexpected.
