SJSU Robotics

SJSU Robotics is a student-led robotics club, with the goal of giving students the opportunity to develop their technical skills while pushing the boundaries of robotics and design. Our club is made of a multi-disciplinary team of students earning degrees in mechanical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry and business. We work to develop a Mars rover for the University Rover Challenge (URC) where we compete against robotics clubs at universities across the nation. Some of the tasks are rover needs to complete are to extract soil samples from the environment and perform analysis on the samples for life, and move autonomously through rough environments.

We strive to bring out the best in our members and prepare them for professional life after college. Current members and alumni have worked at companies and organizations such as Tesla, Google, Lockheed Martin, Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, Stanford University and University of Pennsylvania. SJSU Robotics does not require any club payments from members to maintain our level of accessibility to anyone who is a hardworking and motivated student. We rely on funds from generous donors to remain a free club to join and fund the development of our robots.
