Patrick O'Daniels / Rat Line Scholarship Endowment

Calling all Ratliners fans, friends and colleagues –  Support the Patrick O’Daniels / Rat Line Scholarship Endowment today!  Known as an independent SJSU publication from the 1960s to the early 2000s, the Rat Line was led by our SJSU alum and Ratliner, Patrick O’Daniels. After Pat’s passing in 2021, many of Pat’s friends, family and fellow Ratliners came together to establish the Patrick O’Daniels / Rat Line Scholarship Endowment for undergraduate students in the school of Journalism and Mass Communications. 

To say that Pat had many friends is an understatement. He was an avid historian, artist, and writer who shared his passion for people and their stories through the Rat Line. But most importantly, Pat was a friend you could count on. 

To date we have raised $66,000 of our $100,000 goal. But, we still need your support! With your support, the Patrick O’Daniels / Ratline Scholarship Endowment will provide scholarships to two journalism students each year. Make your gift today!
