Industrial and Systems Engineering

Who are we?

We are SJSU’s Chapter 806 Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers. We are a student organization, mainly majoring in Industrial and Systems Engineering, with a mission to provide knowledge, training, networking opportunities, and recognition to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the Industrial & Systems Engineering profession and those individuals involved with improving quality and productivity. 

As a university organization, we strive to drive communication between students and faculty, connect and expose members to the industry, and create a social and professional community for fellow students to work, study and collaborate. As a global organization, IISE strives to help its members improve complex organizations around the world and across industries.

Why are we raising this money?

Our organization focuses on the professional and personal success of each of our members. To do this, we plan on funding events that would benefit all of our students by connecting them with each other, faculty and industry professionals. Our main goal is to fund transportation for as many students as possible to attend the annual IISE conference in New Orleans in May. This conference connects students across America with industry professionals and provides networking and other professional opportunities. Other goals we have are to provide transportation to different industry events/tours, some of which include Disney, Apple, Tesla and more. We are also looking to plan a career day specifically for Industrial Engineering students where we will host 20-30 companies in order to help secure jobs/internships during and after college. In addition, our graduating seniors will receive IISE graduation stoles as well as other branded items and we are looking to fund that as well.

You can also share this funding site with your friends, family, or colleagues who want to help students in the Industrial Engineering field succeed.
