Who are we?
The College of Graduate Studies (CGS) Dean’s Fund provides support for important activities related to graduate education at SJSU that are not supported in the college budget. This includes support for graduate students, staff, alumni, and faculty for activities that promote or advance graduate education.
Why are we raising the money?
An example is supporting travel for graduate students to present their research at a professional conference or travel to collect data for their research when CGS or their home department budget cannot meet this need. Another example is to help support events that promote graduate student success, such as networking events or other professional development activities.
How can you help?
A Dean’s discretionary fund can help bridge the gap between formal education in classrooms, laboratories, and studios and the informal but essential learning that occurs outside the classroom at conferences or at remote research sites. It can also support events designed to advance graduate education.
