Our sincerest thank you to each and every one of you that have made a gift in Brian’s honor. Brian’s impact on our campus and the greater community was immeasurable. The Brian D. Bates Memorial Scholarship embodies what inspired us all about Brian, his commitment to social justice, diversity, and inclusion.
Brian’s celebration of life ceremony will be on April 23, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. - Noon at the Diaz Compean Student Union Theater on the San José State University campus. We invite you all to join. With your help, we’ve already reached 68% of our goal and our intention is to reach the full $25,000 by the time of the celebration so we can announce the scholarship with the match from the Alumni Association.
