Who are we?
Welcome to the department of Communicative Disorders at SJSU, and it’s community-serving clinic, the Kay Armstead Center for Communicative Disorders (KACCD). Located in one of the first Speech-Language Pathology programs in the state of California and the California State University system, the KACCD has long been a destination for persons and families seeking speech-language therapy services for communication and related disorders.
Why are we raising the money?
A long-standing community clinic, we look forward to 2022 being a full reopening of our clinic following the pandemic and are excited to bring a new look, updated materials, equipment, and resources, as we commit ourselves to serving our community of children, adults, and families affected by communication disorders. With this ask, we are specifically hoping to add videootoscopy equipment (to screen and assess for hearing impairment) and iPad Pros equipped with therapy apps for our diagnostic evaluation clinic
How can you help?
Join us in dreaming big for the Kay Armstead Center for Communicative Disorders. Please join us in this reimagining of KACCD by supporting our Giving Tuesday Campaign and donating what you can now. Also, please reach out to us directly if you have an idea for supporting our clinic and collaborating with us.
