News on the status of our Oaxaca trip

To our amazing supporters, 

 

We are saddened to announce that due to the recent current world events, our service trip to Oaxaca, Mexico has been canceled. Vamos a Oaxaca 2020 thanks you for your support in our service efforts and appreciate those who have supported us throughout this journey. Although we are not able to go physically to our various service projects, we continue to stay in communication with the communities in Mexico and are eager to begin the process of planning next year's trip so that we can continue the great work started 15 years ago! Thanks to your generous donations, we are able to help offset costs for our participants as well as add to the budget for next year's cohort. We hope to have your continued support as we plan future trips and look forward to including you in our journey moving forward. We send our well wishes and prayers to you and your families during this difficult time.

Choose a giving level

El Copal

A gifts at this level will provide students with funds to purchase meals during the trip. Much of the work that will be done will require students to be on their feet, running various health programs. Donations at this level will provide students with the energy they need to do their best work.

La Cultura

A gift at this level will help students purchase supplies needed to run the various health programs at different facilities and centers to promote the well-being of residents of Arrazola, Oaxaca.

El Artisano

A gift at this level will help cover the cost of the hotel we will be staying in the first day of the trip. Having a place to rest and plan for the next day’s health events is a necessary part of our trip. Donors at this level will receive a thank you email from the group.

Tequio

A gift at this level will help pay for the ground transportation needed for the success of the trip. Students will be traveling to health clinics, food banks, and women’s and children’s center to carry out their work. Transportation is an expense and our work isn’t possible without it. Donors at this level will receive a special email and thank you video from the group.

Eco-Alebrije

A gift at this level will help a student pay for their flights to Arrazola, Oaxaca. We can’t make it there without you! Donors at this level will receive their own Eco-Alebrije!

A gift at this level will cover the trip cost of a student, providing: ground transportation, everyday meals, hotel and flight cost. This is the complete package! Donors at this level will receive their own unique Eco-Alebrije, made by hand by the artisans of Oaxaca!
