Who We Are:

Vessel Athletics is a student-led, innovative water wearable and athletic wear top brand that is revolutionizing the way people stay hydrated while they train or compete.

When Jasmine Sanchez, the founder and campaign lead for Vessel Athletics, first got into running she faced a problem every time she wanted to bring water with her during her runs. Every water wearable product out on the market today is either too heavy, too flimsy and uncomfortable to wear or not hands-free. She later found out that this is a common problem that many runners, bikers, hikers, frequent walkers, and others face which is how the idea for Vessel Athletics was born a year ago!

Our mission is to create a better water wearable and athletic wear top brand that will change the way people hydrate so our users can train and compete at their highest efficiency.

Team Objectives:

• To design, develop, and produce our first working prototype for both men and women

• Mass manufacture our product and become a thriving startup

• Create a community of users through our online presence, events, partnerships and more

Project Objectives:

• Raise sufficient funds to complete our first working prototype and manufacture our products

• Provide our team with a real entrepreneurial and startup life experience

• Bring awareness and spotlight to San Jose State by being known as a premier university for students to come and learn about entrepreneurship and successfully launch their own startups

​Why We Need Your Help:

Being that we’re full-time students, we’re limited on the necessary funding required to produce our product which is why we need your help to fund our startup and complete our prototype by early next year. We need to work with a professional manufacturer to design and produce our own custom size water bladders. Once we complete our prototype, our plan is to purchase a starting order of 100 units to test out and sell to our first customers as well as compete in next May’s Silicon Valley Business Plan Competition (SVBPC). Raising sufficient funds will allow us to achieve our dream to turn Vessel Athletics into a viable startup.

Launching this campaign has provided us with a unique hands-on learning experience that has required our team to work at a fast pace to meet deadlines, quickly adapt to necessary changes, and sharpen our entrepreneurial skills.
