We're happy to share that after double-checking our numbers, the impact of your gifts to the Spartan Food Pantry was almost ten times greater than we originally thought. The food pantry has actually seen approximately 5,200 visits since its opening and over 600 in the month of July alone. That means we're almost ten times more grateful for your gifts.

Thanks to your generosity, the Spartan Food Pantry opened its doors this past March! Since then, the Pantry has recorded over 5,200 visits to the space. That means over 600 sighs of relief from Spartans who no longer need to worry about choosing between notebooks for their classes this fall or breakfast for the week. You have, quite literally, put food on the table for fellow Spartans, and you are awesome for that.

We are incredibly happy to share the success of our campaign to raise money for the Spartan Food Pantry. This past Thursday evening, we held our Inspiration to Innovation Gala here on campus at which we publically shared our message on the battle against student hunger. In addition to all proceeds benefitting the Student Hunger Fund, we received roughly $25,000 in donations made directly to the crowdfunding campaign from gala attendees. With the campaign now concluded, we are pleased to announce that we’ve raised $36,500, which is more than twice our original goal of $15,000!

After raising our goal to $20,000 with the hope of being able to fund non-perishables and toiletries for the pantry, we quickly exceeded that number and the gifts continued to come in. It was truly moving, and we are deeply grateful to each and every one of you who helped support the campaign with your generosity. We look forward to updating you all on the status of the pantry opening and, once again, appreciate all of your support.
